Google now has presented for the first time mapping software, photo-sharing and web-browsing to the public in Iran, but blocking access to the Iranian government computers.
Google works with several U.S. official party makes Google Earth, Picasa and Chrome, so that can be downloaded in Iran. Similarly, as quoted by AFP on Wednesday (01/19/2011).
"For the first time we bring Google Earth, Picasa and Chrome is available for download in Iran," writes Neil Martin, Export Compliance Programs Manager of Google, in a blog.
"As the terms and conditions of export licenses our program, Google will continue to block the IP addressassociated with the Iranian government ,"explained Martin.
Sanctions from the U.S. government to ban the Iranian government before downloading the software there. Now some of the ban has been withdrawn.
"Our products are designed specifically to help people communicate, share opinions and find information," said Martin.
"And we believe that with more products, means more choices, more freedom and more power to the individuals in Iran," added Martin.

I think it is great that these services are now being offered to Iran. You shouldn't not have quality based on where you live.
